We are back to the gorgeous beaches of the Caribbean in Cancun Mexico for our 2018 US Dry Bean and other Specialty Grains International Congress. For approximately 20 years, this event has offered trending industry topics, social events and business opportunities to hundreds of US exporters and International importers of pulses and other specialty grains. It is proudly, the best event for pulses and other specialty grains in Mexico and Latin America. This event is organized by the US Dry Bean Council and cosponsored by the USA Dry Pea, Lentil and Chickpea Council, the USA Sunflower Association and the USA Popcorn Board´s Mexico in-market representative.

Hotel Room Rate


Plus 3% Tourism Tax and 16% VAT Per Night, Single or Double Occupancy (European Plan, No meals included) Add Maid’s Tips US$ 6.00 per room per night and US$ 7.00 Bellboy per person per stay.

The room rate without the 16% VAT ends up with a 2 guest occupation under US$ 242.00, Cancun’s Max Expense for the Authorized travel rates by USDA

There will be an additional US$45.00 charge per night for a third guest staying in the room.

Combinations allowed 2 adults 2 children or 3 adults only.

There is no additional charge for up to two children twelve and under when sharing a room with one or two adults.

These rates will be honored for the participants three days before and three days after the Congress official dates.

0% VAT policy for foreign guests to Mexico. You must present your passport and entrance slip to the hotel front desk in order to be elegible. If you don’t present this documents you will be charged

Please be aware that during the registration process you will be asked for your credit card information. The Hotel will charge one night to guarantee that your credit card information is correct. If the charge does not go through, the reservation will not be effective, however, USDBC will contact you to let you know such circumstance for correction. You will not be charged for the total stay, since this will be done at the moment you check out when you leave the hotel. Your hotel reservation will be done at the time you register online. Cancellation Policy

Due to the hotel room high demand and nature of the contract that USDBC has with the hotel, the cancellation deadlines for participants that wish or need to cancel its participation are shown in the following table. Cancelations for any reason generate a partial or full charge if they are done after the month of November 2017. If for any reason you have to cancel your participation, the USDBC will try to accommodate your room with other possible participants, however, if this task is not achieved, you will have to cover your reservations according to this participation contract and cancellation policies. Unfortunately “No Shows” or “Delayed Arrivals” related to health issues or weather will not be circumstances that will waive the nights of any reservation.- The USDBC will not be responsible to cover for those expenses.

Participants to the event are required to stay at this hotel in order to help out fulfill the organizer's contract. There will be no exceptions unless the event is running out of rooms and this will be determined and confirmed by the organizers. All cancellations must be done in writing to the USDBC representative in Mexico at raul@mercalimentos.com and if you don’t receive a reply within 24hrs you must call the USDBC representation office in Mexico. You will be provided with a confirmation code for clarification backup. All cancellations will be subject to the reservation agreement, policies and charges. Telephone cancellations will not be accepted.


Registration continues the same format as previous years. The registration process is divided in two parts. The first part requires from you to provide your hotel accommodation needs and the second part covers the payment for your participating fees to the event. The Hotel will charge ONE night to guarantee that your credit card information is correct (first part), however, the registration fees will be charged (second part) to the credit card you are providing (make sure you have the billing address where the credit card statement is sent, since it will be required to validate your charge). The registration will not go through failing to provide the correct billing address for your credit card.

* Wives and companions participating in the event functions such as receptions and dinners are subject to a registration fee. A secondary company staff is not considered a companion; it is considered one regular participant at a participation cost of US$250.00. Please register accordingly to be eligible for all the functions where food will be served.

How to Register?

You are required to fill out the online secured registration form. But before you do that, please be aware of the following details to be taken into account during the online registration:

During your registration process, you will be required to provide your credit card information.

Your registration fees to the event will be charged to the card you are providing.

Your hotel reservations will be guaranteed with the credit card provided. The Hotel will charge one night to guarantee that your credit card information is correct. Be aware that the total nights of your hotel reservation will not be charged during registration process.

When finalizing your registration you will also have done your hotel reservation. Hotel confirmation codes will be published in the participant´s section of this web site two weeks prior to the event.

Registration fees are refundable if you cancel within 45 days prior to the event. To do so, please do it by email to Raul Caballero at raul@mercalimentos.com

This event is sponsored by USDA cooperators and only U.S. exporters of beans, peas, lentils, chickpeas, popcorn and sunflower or any other U.S. product are eligible to participate in this event. Our criteria is based upon rules and policies of the USDA budget that we use to organize this event. We apologize for any inconvenience this policy may cause. There are no exceptions to participants from other countries wishing to attend this event for selling purposes.

It is strictly forbidden for participants to offer products from other origins than the USA. Individuals that do so will be asked to leave the event, and future participation will not be possible.
